Hi, I’m Alex!

Whether you are stepping into a car for the very first time, or you’re an experienced driver looking to see what the electric revolution is all about, I am here to help you achieve your goals. My coaching style is completely client-centred, calm, and tailored to you. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all lessons; we will work together at a pace that keeps you feeling safe, confident, and completely in control.

Learning in a Modern Automatic

First thing's first; if you are looking to learn in a standard automatic car you are in the perfect place! My car is a fully electric vehicle but to you, it drives exactly like a regular automatic. There are no gears to worry about and no clutch to manage, just two pedals, smooth steering, and a beautifully quiet, stress-free environment.

You will learn all the core skills needed to pass your automatic driving test with flying colours and become a safe, independent driver. So, if you just want a straightforward, relaxed way to get your automatic licence, you are going to love this car.

If you are curious about the future of driving, my car offers a fantastic opportunity to get ahead of the curve. Electric vehicles (EVs) have a few unique features that are incredibly fun and rewarding to learn. Together we can explore:

• Regenerative Braking: This is one of the coolest parts of an EV. The moment you lift your foot off the accelerator the car smoothly slows itself down while feeding energy back into the battery. It makes driving in traffic incredibly easy and smooth.
• Instant Power & Control: Without gears, the acceleration is seamless. I will help you master this smooth power delivery so you feel entirely confident pulling out of junctions and merging on faster roads.
• Eco-Awareness: We will look at how to read EV displays and manage battery range, giving you modern skills for the modern road.

Switching from Manual or Petrol/Diesel?

Are you already a qualified driver? If you've been driving a manual or a traditional automatic for years and are thinking about buying your first EV—or transitioning to a company car—the change can feel a bit daunting.

I offer dedicated EV Experience Lessons specifically for full licence holders. In a relaxed, no-pressure session, we can get you behind the wheel so you can get a feel for regenerative braking, learn the basics of charging, and build total confidence before you make the switch permanently.

For those who may be outside my main teaching area, I am happy to negotiate a price to travel to you for your EV lesson, or ideally you can travel to me in my West Sussex location. Corporate clients welcome.
